Moreover, both Liberal and Conservative governments have for 30 years facilitated hundreds of thousands of Chinese to migrate to Canada and then stood idly by as Beijing’s political and economic influence grew within the Chinese/Canadian community - that has been openly reported by the intelligence services within various government agencies.
The old analogy of closing the barn door after the cows have left is apt in this case.
