Read this article then ask yourself why the Liberal government is suddenly worried about Chinese influence in Canada?

How come after three decades of ignoring the expansive Chinese policy of the economic colonialization of Canada (among many other G7 countries) through unfettered investments – especially in natural resource sectors is of sudden concern. Moreover, both Liberal and Conservative governments have for 30 years facilitated hundreds of thousands of Chinese to migrate to Canada and then stood idly by as Beijing’s political and economic influence grew within the Chinese/Canadian community - that has been openly reported by the intelligence services within various government agencies.

The old analogy of closing the barn door after the cows have left is apt in this case.
